I'll come back with more travel news soon, but for the moment I want to share info about a cool event we've got going on this weekend. I'm busy packing up books and fliers and the v.cool poster that Alpha made for me (of the book cover), and I'm taking it all to South Florida for a fun book signing and talk at the new totally green restaurant, Pizza Fusion. Founders Michael Gordon and Vaughan Lazar have applied every green principle they could come up with to their fast-growing franchise business, and I am excited to see how well they're doing. They're using heat from the pizza ovens to warm their water, they serve organic and vegan food and drinks, and they deliver in hybrid vehicles. They opened this headquarter store in Fort Lauderdale in February 2006 and already they've sold more than 50 franchises in seven states around the country - the world wants green businesses!
